Reliance Jio Joins Clean Ganga Campaign, will spread message under 'Namami Ganga Program'

Reliance Jio had launched Khumbh App few days ago. In this Khumbh App, now 'Ganga Anthem' will be added. Khumbh App was specially launched for Jio phone customers.

Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries Limited is now joined hand to Clean Ganga campaign with the help National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG), Reliance will lead Clean Ganga campaign. Not only that the under 'Namo Ganga Program' Reliance Jio will spread the messages to Clean Ganga among the people.

Reliance Jio will spread messages of National Mission for Clean Ganges, through its SMS and digital banner push notifications. These messages will be sent only during the Khumbh Fair period. The advantage of the Jio network is that the message to clean Ganga, the immediately message will be able to reach crores of people across the country.

To carry the importance of the Clean Ganga, among people. Reliance signed an MOU with the 'National Mission for Clean Ganga'. Under the MOU, Reliance Jio will make his credibility in the telecom sector, now it will work to make people aware to clean Ganga.

The National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) is the implementation wing of National Ganga Council which was set up in October 2016 under the River Ganga Protection and Management) Authorities order 2016. The order dissolved National Ganga River Basin Authority. The aim is to clean the Ganga and its tributaries in a comprehensive manner. Nitin Gadkari is the present Minister for Ministry for Water Resources, River Development and Ganga, Government of India.

Pollution of the Ganges (or Ganga), the largest river in India, poses significant threats to human health and the larger environment. Severely polluted with human waste and industrial contaminants, the river provides water to about 40% of India's population across 11 states, serving an estimated population of 500 million people or more, more than any other river in the world. Today, the Ganges is considered to be the sixth-most polluted river in the world.

Jio does not offer 2G or 3G service, and instead uses voice over LTE to provide voice service on its network.
