The name of this initiative is GOAL (Going Online As Leaders). Under this, all girls from West Bengal, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Odisha and Madhya Pradesh will be taught Digital Literacy, Life Skills, Leadership and other things.

Focusing on women empowerment, Facebook launched the Digital Skilling Initiative in five states of India on Wednesday. Under this tribal girls will be trained in digital skills so that they can become Digital Young Leaders in their community at the village level. The name of this initiative is GOAL (Going Online As Leaders). Under this, all these girls from West Bengal, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Odisha and Madhya Pradesh will be taught Digital Literacy, Life Skills, Leadership and other things.

Digital literacy will be provided to girls through on ground trainers. Apart from this in every 15 days, 25 personalities of different backgrounds such as Business, Education, Health, Politics, will give advice through Facebook or Whatsapp, to every four girls.

According to the report, this program will focus especially on girls who have missed school due to financial problems. To be part of this program, the applicant should be over 18 years of age and must be of tribal origin.
