WhatsApp has banned more than 2 million accounts, Fake News sharing targeted

The company has taken several stringent measures regarding the Fake News being spread by WhatsApp, the instant messaging app. In this order, WhatsApp has created a new machine learning system. Through this system, those accounts are identified which send messages to many people simultaneously. It is also called bulk messaging. Through this learning system, WhatsApp wants to stop fake content sharing.

WhatsApp has said that its platform is used by some people to spread false news. Not just Fake News, but some such links are also sent to users, through which the personal information of others can be stolen. WhatsApp has said that making bulk messages or automatic messages in such a way is against the company's terms and conditions. The company wants to stop such cases. WhatsApp has claimed that more than 2 million accounts have been banned every month through the machine learning system.

WhatsApp said that this system bans detective behaviour and suspicious accounts. It also said that this system detects such a phone number that has recently been reported for the wrong content. If the same number is re-registered, then the system detects it back. Similarly, in 3 months, 20 percent of the accounts have been banned at the time of registration. The company says that its objective is to identify and ban the Fake Content. Manually making this process is not easy. That's why this system has been built.
