European Union fined Google with a penalty of 1.7 billion dollars | Know Why?

March 27, 2019
The Competition Commission of the European Union (EU) has imposed a penalty of 1.49 billion euros (1.68 billion dollars) for the unfair trade practices in the market on Google.

This penalty has been imposed on online advertising in relation to abuse of its strong position. This is the third time when the commission has imposed a penalty on Google for violating competition rules.
EU Commissioner for the Competition Margrethe Vestager explained briefly on the results of the long running investigation of Google Adsense advertising business at a press conference in Brussels on Wednesday.

They said, the investigation shows how Google misused its strong position to prevent websites from using the brokers instead of the AdSense platform.

The commission found that Google and its parent company, Alphabet, violated the EU anti competitive regulations. The company used restrictive provisions in the contract with websites using AdSense.
This has prevented Google's rival companies from offering their ads on these websites. Microsoft had complained to the EU Competition Commission in 2009 and the commission started its formal investigation in 2016.

Last year, Vestager fined 4.34 billion euros (5 billion dollars) after investigating the company's Android operating system. In 2017, there was a penalty of 2.42 billion euros in the case related to the 'online shopping search results'.

Slow speech with a modulating tone- he doesn't jump on conversation or shout to be heard. He speaks so you want to listen.

Doesn't interrupt- he understands that he has all the time in the world to respond so why interrupt?

Always having an open body posture- he doesn't lurk in a corner with an empty bottle of beer trying to look cool. He opens up and proclaims availability to everyone.
Maintains constant eye contact- like always. You'll never see him feel intimidated by anyone.

Assertive and makes his opinions clear- he makes his opinions known to others but he doesn't do it to offend.
