Soon Two Private Trains will run from Gorakhpur on PPP Model

As soon as the announcement of running 150 PPP Model based private trains at Indian Railways Level in the Budget, two private trains from Gorakhpur were also approved. Not only Gorakhpur, the way for the proposed eight private trains from various stations of the North Eastern Railway has also been cleared. The proposed private train from Gorakhpur to Delhi is yet to be agreed, but the proposal for a private train between Gorakhpur to Bangalore and Bandra Terminus (Mumbai) has been approved. Apart from this, it is proposed to run one private train from Lucknow to Delhi, Manduadih to Delhi, Howrah, Mumbai, Surat and Lal Kuan to Delhi.
A private train will run between Barauni to Delhi via Gorakhpur instead of Chhapra-Delhi, 3.25 MW power will be generated from the Solar Plant: Solar plants will be installed near railway tracks as per the budget. Already, 3.25 MW of electricity is being produced from the Solar Panels in the North Eastern Railway. Efforts are being made at a rapid pace to increase capacity.

The budget also emphasizes on providing WiFi Facility at stations. North Eastern Railway has also set a target of providing WiFi Facility at 234 Stations of A and B category. Passengers have started getting this Facility at 112 stations including Gorakhpur, Lucknow Jn, Chhapra and Varanasi. Equipment are being installed at 148 stations. The process of implementing the system has also started at the remaining stations.
